Hojicha is a green tea roasted at high temperatures. Similar to matcha tea, hojicha is ground into a powder. Roasting reduces the level of caffeine, therefore, hojicha is a great choice at any time of the day. Hojicha-flavoured drinks and food are particularly popular in Japan.
